CLASSICAL LOCATION RECORDING
ABOUT ME
Hi. I'm a classical recording engineer and producer with over 20 years of experience capturing everything from solo instruments to large orchestral ensembles to complex film scores. Along the way I've worked on more than 150 albums, 175 orchestral radio broadcasts, dozens of livestreams, and a handful of TV and film scores. These projects have earned seven Juno Awards (out of 21 nominations), three regional Emmys, several Canadian Screen Awards, and a variety of other accolades.
For the past decade I've kept busy as producer and recording engineer for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (2015–24) and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (2024–26), while always making time for interesting side projects. Highlights include video directing a medici.tv livestream for the Kansas City Symphony; engineering Darren Fung's orchestral film scores for The Great Human Odyssey and Equus: Story of the Horse with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra; producing Michael Tilson Thomas' Urban Legend with saxophonist Pat Posey and members of the San Francisco Symphony, conducted by Edwin Outwater; and a number of chamber music projects, including collectif9's No Time for Chamber Music.
Whether producing and engineering an album on my own or playing a smaller role on a larger production team, I'm always looking to collaborate with passionate, innovative artists and musicians, especially on projects suited to immersive audio capture.
